Music For Cinematic Rock is the second volume of compositions by Tosky Records dedicated to the world of cinema and audio-video synchronization. The project started in late 2014 from the meeting between Giorgio Lovecchio, Davide Belcastro (the two owners of Tosky Records) and Francesco Persia (composer/musician).
After moving their first steps into the soundtracks market, Lovecchio and Belcastro decided that there was time to discover the dimension of cinematic rock and its use in action movies. Initially they contacted Persia because of his well-known ability of writing good rock songs. They also had some collaborations together in the past so they thought he was the right guy to get the job. Persia was so excited by the new challenge and he immediately started to work in his studio in Rome.
He was trying to find the right key to unlock the door and after writing the first couple of tunes he invited to join the project his late friend and ex-bandmate Francesco Tripaldi (composer/musician). Finally the ball moved forward and the duo began to work very hard on the new material inspired by the renewed partnership.
Throughout the year, the guys went through a deep analysis of the writing process for soundtrack music to create strong movie-oriented rock songs. They spent all their time writing music, experiencing new sounds and listening to a thousand of soundtracks to learn all the features of this kind of musical language properly. The final result of this work is what you can hear on this record.
